Croatia to Implement Mandatory B2B E-Invoicing from January 2026
The Croatian Ministry of Finance launched a public consultation on February 27, 2025, regarding the introduction of mandatory B2B electronic invoicing and e-reporting, set to take effect on January 1, 2026.
This new regulation will apply to resident, VAT-registered businesses, though it remains unclear whether non-resident businesses with a VAT-fixed establishment in Croatia will also be included.
The mandatory e-invoicing initiative is part of Croatia’s Fiscalization Project 2.0, aiming to enhance tax compliance, streamline reporting, and improve financial transparency for businesses operating in the country.
Businesses should begin preparing for this transition by assessing their invoicing processes, ensuring compatibility with Croatia’s e-invoicing requirements, and staying informed on further regulatory developments.
